What is Laser Skirmish?
Laser skirmish is
a tactical game of team based skirmishes, also known as "electronic"
paintball.
Unlike the old style arena indoor la
Laser Skirmish otherwise known as outdoor laser tag is a team oriented combat simulation that can be played at our bush field in Wallan or a suitable location where we can come to you.
Laser Skirmish is a new sport made possible through a technological break-through enabling extended range (500 feet/150 metres + in daylight) of infrared units.
In 1998 electronics engineers worked out how to lens the I.R. so the beam could travel much further than previously managed by lasertag equipment. This new ability to hit opponents at range and in daylight enabled outdoor lasertag to be born.
Outdoor Lasertag development has been influenced in playing style by paintball whereas the technology is an off-shoot of the indoor arenas. In many respects outdoor lasertag combines the best aspects of both indoor arena laser tag and paintball.
The base technology used is infra-red light. Infra-red is on the safe side of the visible spectrum.
Laser Skirmish Action
Laser Skirmish is an outdoor combat team sport
much like paintball but without the bruises. At Challenge Laser Skirmish we run competitive military
simulation and combat-like scenarios such as VIP escort, capture the flag,
attack defend or if you want you can just hunt the buck!.

It's a lot like LIVE counter-strike game, with
strong emphasis on small unit infantry tactics and leadership. We have a huge arsenal of
high-powered infrared weapons such as sniper rifles and machine pistols.

What to Bring
All Challenge
Laser Skirmish participants must wear suitable
footwear, for traction and ankle protection.
Light weight bush walking boots are the best.
We have "cammo" overalls for hire, otherwise we recommend you wear long trousers
and sleeves to protect yourself in the bush (Ideally not so bright in colour so
as to make yourself as easy target!)
Thongs, High Heels and Fluffy Slippers are not permitted!
If the weather looks like being wet, a change of clothes and
a towel are advisable whereas sunscreen is advisable on sunny days.
Barbeque, picnic facilities and drinks are available.
